I have massive current requirements as I'm into car audio. I don't understand where that myth comes from but I've grounded to the chassis on both unibody and frame based vehicles for 17 years now and have yet to have a problem. You do NOT need to run your ground wire back to the front battery. It comes with a switch allowing you to link and unlink the batteries as you please. I'm actually about to replace my 1/0 with 2/0.įor the isolator, get a Blue Sea ML-ACR. I see a lot of people running 4gauge but honestly I would not be comfortable with such small wire. ![]() I recommend 1/0 between the two batteries.
